Sundowns, also known as Mamelodi Sundowns, is a South African professional football (soccer) club based in the city of Pretoria. The club was founded in 1970 and has since become one of the most successful and popular football clubs in South Africa. 

Sundowns have won numerous domestic and continental titles, including 11 South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) championships, five Nedbank Cups, and three Telkom Knockout Cups. They have also won the CAF Champions League, the top club competition in Africa, twice in 2016 and 2021, as well as the CAF Super Cup in 2017. 

The team plays their home matches at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria and their traditional colors are yellow and blue. The club is known for its passionate supporters, known as "Brazilians", and for its commitment to developing young talent through its academy system.
