D'Angelo Russell

D'Angelo Russell is a professional basketball player who currently plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born on February 23, 1996, in Louisville, Kentucky, and played college basketball at Ohio State University for one season before being selected as the second overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Lakers.


Russell spent two seasons with the Lakers before being traded to the Brooklyn Nets in 2017. He played for the Nets for two seasons, earning his first NBA All-Star selection in 2019, before being traded to the Golden State Warriors in 2019. Russell spent one season with the Warriors before being traded again, this time to the Timberwolves in 2020.




Russell is known for his scoring ability and playmaking skills, and he has been recognized for his talent throughout his career. In addition to his All-Star selection, he was also named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team in 2016 and has been named Eastern Conference Player of the Week multiple times.
